Another Earnhardt on the way up at DEI

Last week Dale Earnhardt Jr. sent shock waves through the NASCAR racing world when he announced he will be leaving Dale Earnhardt Incorporated, the company his late father Dale Earnhardt Sr. founded, at the end of this season.

While Junior will be leaving, another Earnhardt is making his way through the ranks of DEI — Jeffrey Earnhardt. Jeffrey Earnhardt now competes in the Grand National Division, Busch East Series and could soon make a meteoric rise through the ranks.

"If I was to choose anyone I would want it to be with DEI, that's where I look at spending my future," said Jeffrey Earnhardt last week at New Hampshire International Speedway. "It's a great group of guys. Everyone works real good together and no one butts heads, and I mean they shouldn't at the race tracks. Everybody gets along and we perform good. I think it's real good to be working with all those guys. We're going to have a good season."



Busch East can boast an Earnhardt: Santerre has Dale’s grandson

Dale Earnhardt Inc. is counting on Maine native Andy Santerre to show its newest development driver what it takes to succeed in NASCAR.

Starting this season, Andy Santerre Motorsports will take Dale Earnhardt’s grandson, Jeffrey Earnhardt, under its tutelage and compete in the NASCAR Busch East Series along with teammate and Pelham, N.H., native Sean Caisse.

“We’re really looking forward to working with Jeffrey, and it should be pretty exciting,” Santerre said.

Kerry Earnhardt joins DEI

Dale Earnhardt, Inc. didn't have to look far in making the 2007 season a success. Kerry Earnhardt, oldest son of Dale Earnhardt, has joined the team's organizational structure with a wide variety of responsibilities.

His duties will include dealing with matters across the company's entire organization, from needs of the race teams to the Dale Earnhardt Foundation and Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet dealership.
